I recreated the issue with a duplicate PC this morning. Power option is set to 'High performance' plus 'Turn off theĭisplay' and 'Put the computer to sleep' are both set to 'Never.' So why did this PC log off after 10 minutes of idle time? All are administrator accounts (so that certain programs of ours run properly), but are locked down via Group Policy so they can only access what we need them to access. I stayed onsite after installing this Windows 7 PC and noticed that after about 10 minutes of the screen being idle, the screen briefly went black and then came back up with that user's login, saying '(user name) is locked.' Besides Administrator, I have three I built this Windows 7 PC from scratch, moving all applications from the Windows XP system our sites are currently using and upgrading those not working properly in Windows 7
I have just installed a Windows 7 Pilot PC at one of our off-site locations.
